Boulder Shelter Golf Classic
May, TBA: 20th-annual tournament raises funds for the winter emergency shelter and year-round transitional housing programs. Check www.bouldershelter.org in early 2014 for more details.

Chocolate Lovers’ Fling
Feb. 8: This very popular annual fundraiser for Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence is now in its 33rd year. It features chocolate galore, plus wine and beer pairings, a live and silent auction, games, live music an dancing. Check times and venue details at www.safehousealliance.org.

Community Food Share: WhiteWave Foods Spring Fest
April 12: CFS’s signature fundraiser features a silent auction, cocktail hour, seated dinner and dancing at Omni Interlocken Resort, 500 Interlocken Blvd. in Broomfield. Tickets: www.communityfoodshare.org.

Dairy Center for the Arts: HoliDAIRY
Dec. 14: Holiday-themed fundraiser for the whole family features live performances, food and drink, kids’ activities, live music, movie shorts, and surprises. 6-9pm at Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut St. www.thedairy.org.

Humane Society of Boulder Valley: Puttin’ On the Leash
April, TBA: Details about the Humane Society of Boulder Valley’s signature fundraiser were not available at press time, although it’s usually the third weekend in April. It features a silent and live auction, food from local restaurants, and beer and wine. Check www.boulderhumane.org for details.

Longmont Humane Society: Homeward Bound
March 15: Farm-to-table event designed by Pottery Barn raises funds for the shelter’s many programs and includes visits from adoptable animals, live music, farm and restaurant food stations, and microbrew and fine liquor tastings. 6-9pm at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont. Our Center: Empty Bowls Dinner
March, TBA: Empty Bowls is the annual signature fundraiser for Longmont’s Outreach United Resource Center and its food program. Choose a handmade bowl and hot soup; the bowl is yours to keep as a reminder of those who face hunger every day. Rotary CLub of Niwot: 4th Annual Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Tasting
May 16: Rotary fundraiser benefits many different organizations and projects in Niwot. The theme this year is “Wine from the Americas (Pacific Coast Edition)", and it’s held at a Tuscan estate. Details and tickets: www.niwotrotary.org.

Taste of Pearl
April 13: Downtown Boulder’s signature event always sells out, so get your tickets in early March as soon as they go on sale. Then enjoy Boulder’s culinary arts scene and Colorado’s wines as you stroll through retailers and galleries from 2-6pm. World AIDS Day Events
