Enjoy superb Italian food and wine at Alba, successor to the critically acclaimed Full Moon Grill. Alba’s name and inspiration come from a city of the same name in Italy’s Piemonte region The kitchen, under the direction of chef Greg Keesy, relies on the finest available ingredients, using a light touch to deliver a perfect expression of what each has to offer. The menu features delightful antipasti, soups and salads, including pan-steamed mussels, seared tuna, grilled pear and crispy polenta, and roasted- asparagus salad. There are fresh pastas and risottos, such as Tuscan gnocchi, crab linguine and Maine lobster risotto. Among the entrées are crispy pan-seared duck, grilled Colorado lamb and rib-eye steak, fresh Alaskan halibut, and oven-roasted wild salmon. For dessert, the molten chocolate cake is one of many choices prepared by pastry chef Calandra McKenna. At lunchtime there are several delicious sandwiches and thin-crust pizzas to complement pasta, meat, fish, and vegetarian choices. The wine list features a broad selection from Italy and California, with strongest emphasis on Piemonte and Tuscany. The bar features booths and a small library of Italian food, wine, and travel books. The dining room is warmly lit with antique sconces and a chandelier. An antique farm table provides a unique focal point. A beautiful patio with fireplace and fountain offers a delightful setting for outdoor dining during the warmer months.
