Lafayette Quaker Oatmeal Festival & Health Fair
Jan. 14: Popular family event focuses on a healthy lifestyle, with an oatmeal breakfast, certified 5k, health fair and oatmeal baking contest. 7:30am-1pm at various locations in Lafayette.
Lafayette Recreation Department
The Lafayette Recreation Department offers a wide variety of health and fitness events in the winter and spring, including Weigh and Win, Go Red for Women in February, TV Turn Off Week, Wellness Wednesdays and the Winter Meltdown Challenge. Taste of Therapy Wellness Fairs
April 14: More than 40 wellness practitioners and vendors gather under one roof to present a variety of alternative wellness options, complete with hands-on demonstrations. 9am-3pm at St. Vrain Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Ave. in Longmont. Monthly fairs, similar to the annual event, take place Jan. 7 & Feb. 11 at Izaak Walton Clubhouse, 18 S. Sunset St., from 10am-1pm.
Wellness Wednesdays
About every other Wednesday, the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center in Lafayette offers workshops on popular health topics. The events are free, but registration is required. The rec center is at 111 W. Baseline Road.
