The Shortlist: What To Do in Boulder: 12/2 – 12/4
Happy Tuesday, Boulderites! We’ve only got three weeks until the holidays, hooray! Instead of dreading the crowds and the prep work, enjoy all that Boulder has to offer to make the holidays joyful and cheery.
Bundle up in your warmest hats, scarves, mittens, and coats because this Friday night the City of Boulder invites you to enjoy a screening of The Polar Express (2004) in Central Park. It may feel as if you have actually stepped aboard the Polar Express as there will be sing-a-longs, complimentary hot chocolate, and train rides. If you have not yet had the chance to see the 250,000 LED holiday lights strung up in Central Park, this is your excuse!
Check out Firefly Handmade’s first ever sort-of “outdoor” holiday market. Don’t let the frigid temperatures and snow worry you, the market will take place in a giant heated tent at the 29th Street Mall. Come enjoy tasty snacks and drinks while finding a unique holiday gift this Saturday and Sunday. There will be over 100 vendors to choose from, plus live music and local food trucks. Admission is free!
The people who brought you the Boulder Creek Festival, the Boulder Creek Hometown Festival, and the Rocky Mountain Pizza & Pints Festival present Winter Skate. The Winter Skate Boulder rink opened last weekend to mark the holiday season. Head over to the plaza in front of the Dushanbe Teahouse for some skating this weekend.
