There’s no denying that the Halloween Spirit is upon Boulder. Houses are adorned with spooky decorations, kids are picking out their costumes, and the grocery stores are even almost out of candy! The actual holiday isn’t for a week or so, but in Boulder, we always extend the celebration. The only thing that’s more important than actual Halloween is prepping for it, and we’ve got some activities this weekend that’ll enhance your Halloweirdness and excitement.
Scary, Spooky Wagon Ride
There is no better way to immerse your family in Halloween madness than visiting the Dao House at the Aspen Lodge for a scary wagon ride. Besides the rides, there will be scary movies playing, yummy treats and tricks, and tons of snacks and drinks. This event is in high demand due to the fun and festivities that are promised, so book a ticket quickly. There are three rides a night all weekend so there really is no excuse for missing out on this fun. To learn more about the event and purchase tickets click here.
Sophisticated Adult Pumpkin Decorating
While the kids are playing this weekend, Mom’s now have the chance to sneak away to spend some time on their own and embrace their more adult-like creative and spooky sides. Sturtz and Copeland is hosting a pumpkin arrangement workshop that will provide the pumpkin, embellishments, and fun containers to create the optimally chic, yet festive, Halloween pumpkin! Ghost Ranch “Fun Days”
Yeah, we’ve all been to haunted houses and maybe even a haunted corn maze or two; but who can really say that they’ve been to a haunted yet historic ranch. On Sunday head to Longmont’s King’s Revenue Ranch for a spooky experience that will definitely ignite your Halloween happiness. Cattle, horses, and cowboys roamed this Ranch site for hundreds of years, so not only is the event created to evoke a haunted Old-Western community, but it actually is a wildly historic and interesting site!
