The Shortlist: 11/28-11/30
This week is going to be a huge week for our foodies out there! Everyone’s getting excited about the much anticipated Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, but we also know how you’re going to feel after. You don’t want to skimp on that second helping of stuffing? No problem. Don’t stress about the extra bloat…even if your pants don’t button. This weekend, Boulder’s got lots going on that’ll get you back to feeling normal and healthy after the events of Thursday Night. Get active this weekend and have fun! Happy Thanksgiving to all Boulderites! We are so thankful to live in this beautiful town filled with beautiful, kind, and warm people.
Just Another Turkey Trot
CU is hosting the Turkey Trot this year in Boulder. Come down to Potts Field to get this run started. Prepare for your big Thanksgiving meal by burning a few extra calories before you eat on Thursday! The 5K is a fundraiser, and all the proceeds will go to Boulder Community Foods. No matter which form your donation comes in (food or money), participating in this Turkey Trot will help the greater community. For more information, click here.
The Butterfly Pavilion knows exactly what you need this weekend. For a chance to get active as well as connect to your inner zen, check out Rainforest Yoga this Saturday! The class will be an hour long, led by Boulder yogis Lani Gordon and Jocelynn Rudig. Come to this class to rejuvenate your mind and body, all the while surrounded by beautiful plants and butterflies. Don’t miss this opportunity to de-stress, unwind, and revitalize after Thanksgiving. For more information and to reserve a spot, click here.
Leftover Turkey Trot
Everyone knows what a Turkey Trot is, but have you ever done a Leftover Turkey Trot? This cause is not only philanthropic (you can donate to the Becca Foundation), but it is also a great way to get active and shed the bloat you gained from endless turkey, stuffing, and pie. This is only the second annual Leftover run, so go do it, and make it part of your Thanksgiving tradition this year!
