Boulder Magazine honored by cooking school

Boulder Magazine was honored this spring when Escoffier International, whose Boulder cooking school is our Table Mesa neighbor, inducted editor Mary Jarrett (in blue sash) into Les Disciples d’Escoffier.

Boulder campus president Kirk Bachmann commended the magazine as a super-helpful community resource, especially for his students and their parents.

Also pictured, from left, are chef and restaurateur Antonio Laudisio; Bachmann; Michel Escoffier, great-grandson of the master chef and president of Escoffier Culinary Schools; Escoffier Boulder executive chef Ashlea Tobeck; and Bertrand Bouquin, executive chef of The Broadmoor.

All the new inductees (including chef Daniel F. Widmann, not shown) were soundly dubbed with a giant wooden spoon.
