Boulder Asian Festival

Aug. 9-10: Annual two-day celebration showcases more than 50 performers and 70 vendor booths, all with an Asian cultural theme. On the courthouse lawn on Pearl Street Mall. 11am-6pm both days.www.bapaweb.org.

Boulder Jewish Festival

June 8: Jewish cultural celebration includes live entertainment, fine art and Judaica, ethnic food, vendor booths and family activities. On Pearl Street Mall in front of the courthouse, 11am-5pm.www.boulderjewishfestival.org.

Colorado Dragon Boat Festival

July 19-20: This event used to be just about the dragon boat races, but now it’s a two-day celebration of Asian culture and athletic skill. There are competitive and recreational races, food and vendor booths, kids’ activities, performances of all kinds on five stages, storytellers, demonstrations on such topics as flower arranging and calligraphy, and history exhibits. At Sloan’s Lake Park in northwest Denver, 25th Avenue and Sheridan. www.cdbf.org.

Colorado Renaissance Festival

Weekends, June 14-Aug. 3: The Renaissance Festival, now in its 38th year, is a blast from the past, with master revelers, comedic performers, skilled artisans, roasted turkey legs, steak on a stake and other delights. In Larkspur, south of Denver (exit 173 off I-25).www.coloradorenaissance.com.

Culture Jam

June 21: Culture Jam, sponsored by Left Hand Brewing Company, celebrates the cultural diversity of the community with a family-friendly evening of live music, dancing and the arts; proceeds benefit Intercambio Uniting Communities. 5-10pm at Left Hand Brewing, 1265 Boston Ave., Longmont.www.lefthandbrewing.com.

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival

June 28-29: Scandinavians celebrate the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, with a festival of light, flowers, food, music and dancing under the maypole. Enjoy traditional music and dance from 9:30am-5pm Saturday (4pm Sunday) at Bond Park in downtown Estes Park.www.estesmidsummer.com.

Village Arts Coalition: International Festival
