Roads leading into the Village Shopping Center to be renamed ‘McGuckin Way’

McGuckin Hardware, a celebrated community institution for the last 60 years in Boulder, will be honored in February with a new name for the throughways that lead into the Village Shopping Center from three main city streets.

McGuckin has called the Village Shopping Center—known as Boulder’s first shopping center—its home since 1955. The hardware store has moved to different buildings within the shopping center twice in its 60-year history, settling in its current location in 1978.

An unveiling ceremony will take place near the intersection of 26th and Canyon streets near McGuckin Hardware on Tuesday, February 23rd from 4pm to 4:30pm.
