The Shortlist: What To Do in Boulder: 10/28-10/31

Happy (almost) Halloweekend, Boulderites! Whether you may be handing out candy, tearing up the dance floor in your costume, or trick-or-treating, we’ve got a jam-packed Halloween weekend lined up for you!

1. Avery Brewing Costume Contest

Come hangout at Avery Brewing Co. this Friday night to kick off the weekend. Avery will be getting in touch with the ghosts of brews past by offering tastings of Mephistopheles (2012) and the Beast (2010). There will also be silent scary movies, a live band, and a Halloween costume contest. Prizes will be given out to the top three best costumes!

2. Friday Film Social: Ghostbusters

If craft brews aren’t for you, then head over to the Boulder Library for a screening of Ghostbusters (1984) on Friday night. Feel free to dress in your Halloween costume, or even classic 80’s gear. There will be snacks at the marshmallow bar with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Who you gonna call?

3. The Munchkin Masquerade

Halloween falling on a Monday means pushing our weekend out a little bit longer. Head down to Pearl Street with your munchkins (12 and under) on Monday afternoon from 3 pm – 6 pm for a little trick-or-treating. Over 100 of the shops in Downtown Boulder will be handing out candy to all of the tiny princesses, dragons, vampires, and zombies.
