The Shortlist: What To Do in Boulder: 11/4-11/6
Happy Tuesday, Boulderites! Now that we’re done with Halloween, we’re moving past Thanksgiving and skipping straight to Christmas! Okay – maybe not so fast, but this weekends events are starting to get us in the Holiday spirit. Let us eat, drink, and be merry!
1. Lessons In Local
Come join Seeds Library Café for a new dinner series called “Lessons in Local” this Friday at 6 pm. Lessons in Local will be a five course meal with a focus on local and fresh eating. The evening will start in the Canyon Art Gallery, and the move to the bridge over the Boulder Creek where the meal will take place. There are 45 seats available at $65 each!
2. “The Nutcracker” Storytime Event
Check out the prelude to Boulder Ballet’s annual performance of “The Nutcracker” at the Macky Auditorium. On Friday and Saturday the ballerina’s of the Boulder Ballet Company will be reading “The Nutcracker” by Susan Jeffers at the Boulder Bookstore. The reading is free and open to all.
3. The Colorado Country Christmas Gift Show
This Friday-Sunday come visit the 450 booths of art, crafts, specialty foods & unique items within the Exposition and Plaza buildings at the Denver Mart. There will daily cooking demonstrations in the Plaza by Chef Greg Matchett for the adults, and Hammond’s Candy Land and an interactive train display for the kids. Come enjoy the holiday cheer and maybe even get a picture with Santa!
