The Shortlist: What To Do In Boulder: August 5th – 7th

Happy Wednesday, Boulderites! This upcoming weekend has activities for all! Including but not limited to foodies, athletes, and rodeo stars. To kick off the first weekend of August, we are offering the best of Boulder!

1. National Oyster Day

What a great day to celebrate! This Friday, August 5th, is National Oyster Day. Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is celebrating with free oysters from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.. Head down to Jax’s to enjoy happy hour and a free order of a 1/2 dozen Emersum Oysters from The Rappanhannock River Oyster Company in the Chesapeake Bay. Click here for some more info!

2. The Boulder County Fair

If you didn’t get down to the Boulder County Fair last weekend, this weekend is your last chance. The fair in Longmont runs from July 29th through August 7th. This is your classic county fair, including a demolition derby, a tractor pull, and a rodeo. Come down this and celebrate the oldest fair in all of Colorado, the 147th annual Boulder County Fair! 3. IRONMAN Boulder

Calling all triathletes! This is YOUR event! Boulder’s IRONMAN 2016 will be one of the biggest and best IRONMAN events of the year. Located in one of the fittest (and in our opinion, most beautiful) cities in the U.S., this event attracts triathletes from all over the nation. The course is made up of two 40+ mile loops through Boulder County, including the Boulder Creek Trail and Downtown Boulder. The Boulder IRONMAN will offer 40 qualifying spots for the 2016 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Click here for more information.
