The Shortlist: What To Do In Boulder: September 16-18
Happy Tuesday, Boulderites! The crisp chill of Fall is creeping up on us. It feels like just a week ago that we were floating the Creek. However, we’re a week out from the first day of Autumn, and the leaves are changing and the temperature is dropping. This just means it’s time for Fall festivities! Enjoy!
Centro Mexican Kitchen is known well for it’s happy hour deals on their veranda. This Friday they will be celebrating Mexican Independence day with $25 pitchers of margaritas or palomas, and $15 buckets of Coronas. Fall will be making it’s way on to Centro’s menu on Friday with $4 heirloom pumpkin tamales. Come have a bite and a drink in the Friday evening sunshine to kick off your weekend.
All weekend long the Pearl Street Mall will be celebrating the arrival of Fall during Boulder’s Fall Fest. The Fall Fest is a beloved annual event that rings in the change of season. From Friday to Sunday the Pearl Street Mall will be filled with music, refreshments, vendors, and kids activities. Fall Fest will have a beer garden from Avery Brewing Co., margaritas from The Rio Grande, and local food carts. This year the Firefly Handmade Market will be displaying their artisanal clothing, ceramics, jewelry, food and beverages, home goods, and much more! Head down to check out all of the excitement!
Spend Sunday morning with your little ones at the Boulder Bookstore to enjoy a reading of The Thank You Book with Elephant and Piggie. The Thank You Book was written by Mo Willems, the author of the Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! and Knuffle Bunny. Willems’ children’s book are loved by the whole family. Come enjoy as Elephant and Piggie share their story with you.
