Moms are awesome, and it’s high time we appreciate all that they’ve done for us and keep doing. With Mother’s Day this Sunday, here’s a few ideas for activities and gifts to show momma some love.

1. Spa Day at Pharmaca

Though you’ve already missed the Spa Day downtown and in North Boulder, Friday from 12-6pm there will be discounts, free massages, and minifacials available at the Table Mesa Pharmaca. If that doesn’t work, head down to Greenwood Village on Saturday for those same discounts—and maybe pick something up for mom while you’re at it!

2. Get your Garden On!

Boulder Home and Garden Fair

Yes, there’s supposed to be up to five inches of snow this weekend, but that’s what spring is all about! Explore gardening options at McGuckin’s Hardware or Sturtz & Copeland this weekend… or wait until next weekend for the Boulder County Home & Garden Fair! The fair was moved for weather reasons, but will stretch along the 29th Street Mall on Saturday, May 16th, rain or shine.

It’s the perfect place to grab a belated mom-appreciation gift!

3. Beet Cancer!

May 8th at 8pm, several Longmont Breweries will be releasing their CollaBEERation brew, Beet Cancer Ale at 300 Suns Brewing! Proceeds go to the family of the late Mark Lusher, of 300 Suns Brewing. Go out to show support for Longmont’s brewing community and the fighters, survivors and families of cancer.

4. Treat Her to Tea

The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is probably the prettiest place for tea in Boulder, but its hand-carved walls will probably be packed come Sunday. Either make a reservation early or consider heading to Celestial Seasonings’ Mothers Day Tea! Combine that with a tour and you should have a lovely (and sinus clearing, insides-warming) afternoon with mom. The Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant will also be hosting tea on Sunday, so choose one and call ahead!
