The Shortlist: 11/06-11/08

After the last couple crazy weeks, we know there hasn’t been very much time to do things for the goodness of others. Don’t take Boulder’s beauty, happiness, and opportunities for granted; show Boulder you want to give back! This weekend, we’re showing you some activities and events that will not only brighten your days, but will also brighten the day of others.

  1. Rake Up Boulder

There’s no better way to embrace Fall than by raking up all of the beautiful leaves that have fallen in the past few weeks. Volunteer to participate in a Boulder leave clean-up that helps senior citizens who cannot rake their own yards! On Saturday, it’s expected to be beautiful and sunny. Add the crisp Fall air, the smell of crunchy leaves, and the warmth your heart will feel for the elderly citizens you’re helping – and this activity will surely sweeten your weekend! 1. Conversations About Autism

Get Boulder and get wiser! Head to the Conversations About Autism at Lucky’s Market in Longmont for an open, facilitated discussion about autism. Help your friends and family develop awareness about this disorder. Better understanding generates greater acceptance and inclusion of those living with the disorder. You can help make change happen, right here in our Boulder community! For more information, click here or click here to learn more about the cause.

  1. Boulder Valley Christian Church Blood Drive

We promise it’s not as scary as it seems! Giving blood is one of the best things you can do to give back. Millions of people are in need of blood donations in this country every day, and you can be a contributor to their health and success. Bonfils, the blood donation center, has been active in the Boulder community for many years, and this Saturday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, you can be a part of the charitable spirit that Boulderites have sustained for so long, at 7100 South Boulder Road, 80303.
