This past weekend was full of excitement, pride, and big wins for Coloradans everywhere. There’s nothing better than seeing the Denver Broncos take home the big W at the Super Bowl, and we’re sure you celebrated all Sunday long! Don’t be bummed that football season is over, there’s still so much fun and joy to be had! This weekend is forecasting Spring-like temperatures in town…we might just need our own groundhog in Boulder to declare that Winter is coming to an end! Valentine’s weekend is upon us, and Boulder is filled with activities that will be sure to spread love and happiness. Whether it’s helping your kids make Valentine cards for their class, or going out to a romantic dinner with your honey, this weekend will be special. Don’t you worry, lovebirds, there are plenty of romance-inspired, local activities for you this Valentine’s Day! Date Night In Paris Cooking Class
If you don’t know, now you know…”Gather. Learn. Cook. Eat.” Food Lab, a cooking school for the masses, has recently opened it’s doors in Boulder! Their overall mission is to help enhance the community’s level of culinary skills, food knowledge, and wine knowledge… and they are having a special “date night” cooking class this Friday! Not really the cooking type? It doesn’t matter- these classes cater to all skill levels! Family Day Paint at PoshSplat
For a more family oriented V-Day activity, check out the “Valentine Tree” Family Day Paint at PoshSplat. Not only is this a fun, festive way to celebrate the day of love, but it’s also a great way to spend time with your family while unleashing your creativity. The class will be instructed by a local artist, and everyone goes home with their very own unique piece of self-made art! Yep, you read that right, Cake Hacking. If you’re a teen baker who’s ready to modernize your delicious goodies, then you must attend this lesson at the Boulder Public Library this Friday at 4PM. Do you want to impress your friends and family with a cake that will be sure to “wow”? Betty Hacker, a.k.a Alicia Gibbs (founder of Lunchbox Electronics) has figured out new ways to step up your cake creativity! This class with the Cake-Hacking Queen will teach you how to embed electronics safely into cakes. Take your cakes to the next level!
