The Shortlist: What To Do in Boulder: 9/25-9/27

Bummed that last weekend full of drinks, eats, and Buff’s pride is over? Do not fret, just because summer is over doesn’t mean the fun is! Not only is Boulder filled with natural beauty and adventure that can be accessed at almost any time, but there are always fun-filled events, activities, and festivals to be enjoyed. As fall commences, we know everyone wants to get outside and soak up the perfection that is late September in our rocky paradise. If you want your perfect Boulder weekend to be active, creative, philanthropic, or zen, we’ve got some suggestions that will revitalize you from your post-summer sadness that you definitely don’t want to ignore!

  1. ‘Paws in the Park’ Humane Society 5K:

Love dogs and want to be active this weekend? Check out the ‘Paws in the Park’ 5k run to help raise money for Longmont’s Humane Society! Not only is the Humane Society one of the top animal rescues and a phenomenal organization to support, but you can also get in a quick workout in while knowing that you’re saving a pup or two! Along with the 5K, this dog-friendly event will host vendors, training demos, live music, and even a “Rock ’n’ Roll” themed dog costume contest. The Humane Society has set a goal to raise $43,000 this Saturday, so if you’re feeling philanthropic and active- go run for the cause! Visit the event website to find out more information or to donate.

  1.  Yoga Journal Live Festival

For the more ‘zen’ Boulderites, check out Yoga Journal Live this weekend at the YMCA Estes Park! We know not everyone has been able to be fancy-free or relaxed all summer, but here is your opportunity to immerse yourself in a weekend full of meditation, relaxation, and creativity. Head down to Estes Park to access an array of classes, workshops, inspiring lectures, a yoga market (and for those who aren’t exactly Yogi’s, a “Beginner’s Path” class!) Take this chance to experience bodily enlightenment and complete relaxation, as you’re inspired by all that this festival has to offer. After all of the festivities, don’t forget to soak up the magic of Estes Park; take a stroll and reflect on the perfection and happiness that life has to offer- especially in Colorado. Learn more and register for the event here!

  1. Fashion’s Night Downtown Boulder!

Calling all fashionistas! This Saturday afternoon, Boulder is hosting a “Fashion’s Night” right in the downtown Pearl Street Mall. Boulder’s Fashion Night will incorporate mainstream retailers and designers along with local, more unique fashions that will definitely ‘wow’. Starting at 2PM, these retailers will exhibit their Fall fashions on a cat-walk right through the town! But the excitement doesn’t stop there; there will be food, drinks, music, and even mini-makeover pop-up booths. You don’t want to miss the in-store events that Boulder boutiques will be hosting throughout the night, maybe you’ll be lucky enough to find a steal, deal, or new prized possession. This is Boulders version of Fashion Week, and we guarantee when it comes to Fashion’s Night Downtown, there will be no buyer’s remorse.
